2023 VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

What a Volunteer Needs

Big Smile and a Great Attitude!  Also remember to bring sunscreen, insect repellent, rainwear, comfortable closed-toe shoes, warm clothing for cool nights, and flashlight (if on a night shift).

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Be on time for shift check-in and work assignments. Plan enough time for transportation to and from the  event.
  • Check in at the Volunteer Booth located near the front entrance.  Check in at least 20 minutes prior to your          shift starting time.
  • Work your entire shift and do no leave until your relief worker shows up.  If released by the team leader early, check in at the volunteer booth for reassignment during your shift.
  • Professional behavior is expected throughout the event.
  • Volunteers are NOT allowed to drink alcoholic beverages while on duty and wearing volunteer shirts/vests.
  • Bottled water will be available for volunteers while on duty.  Please let your supervisor know if you desire a bottle of water and they
    will get that to you.
  • There is no place at the concert grounds for your personal belongings.  Please leave items in your locked car or at home.
  • Notify the volunteer team leader immediately if there are any changes in your availability to work your assigned shift once the festival begins.
  • Be familiar with volunteer job descriptions and guidelines.
  • Make arrangements for childcare prior to arriving on duty. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to  accompany their parents while working their volunteer shifts.

 Volunteer Benefits

All volunteers who work one shift (4-5 hours) will receive a one-day GA wristband for that day. Country Boom volunteers can enjoy the festival after working their assigned shift(s).  If you work a minimum of 10 hours (2 shifts), you will receive a 3-day GA wristband.  You will be required to purchase your 3-day GA wristband and will be reimbursed after the festival, provided you checked in and out for your two shifts, as required.

Festival Rule

The Country Boom Music Festival is held rain or shine – we recommend bringing clothes for cool and warm weather!  For your safety and the consideration of all guests and our event, the following are prohibited from being brought into the festival grounds:  alcohol/drugs, tobacco products, firearms, pets/animals (unless certified as medically necessary), unauthorized video or audio recording, or glass containers.

  • All coolers/backpacks will be checked.
  • Personal tents or canopies cannot be set up on festival grounds. Only tents installed by the festival tent supplier will be allowed.
Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by Festival Management. Small  infant dome tents are allowed provided they do not obstruct the view of others.
  • Large umbrellas including beach or patio umbrellas are not allowed.  Normal size golf umbrellas and small personal umbrellas are allowed if they do not obstruct the view of others or dump water onto a   neighbor during a rain event.
  • Folding chairs are allowed at the festival provided they do not obstruct the view of others. Tall canopy    chairs do not meet these requirements and will not be allowed.
